How to Style Your Spring Engagement Photos in the City
Nick and I chose to shoot engagement photos around downtown New Orleans, making sure to hop around some of our favorite places to make the photos more meaningful. Your engagement photos should feel natural and embody your relationship. Have your photographer capture you two sharing moments that are often very real for you, whether that’s walking through the streets or grabbing a glass of wine on an outdoor patio.
You will look back on those photos and think, “Wow. That really looks like us.” And those who see your photos will get to know you two a little better. (P.S. It also helps that your fiancé might be more inclined to take engagement photos if he or she feels comfortable.)
When it comes to dressing up, wear whatever you want, and I mean it! There is no right or wrong way to take engagement photos, and you certainly don’t have to dress up fancy. Nick and I hardly ever dress up, so that didn’t feel right for us. HOWEVER, if it feels right for you, go for it because that would be gorgeous in the city.
In order the perfectly style your engagement photos, brainstorm what makes your relationship so special, and capture that in these photos. You will love them for years to come!
