There are engagement photo themes for every couple’s style, and Nick and myself knew a cozy, winter session was for us. Your session will come out 100% better when it feels like you, instead of attempting some Pinterest photo shoot that mostly leaves you and your fiancé feeling uncomfortable. If you think it’s your style, read on for winter engagement photo ideas.
How to Style Your Casual, Outdoor Winter Engagement Shoot
We chose a casual and cozy style engagement shoot that portrayed our personalities perfectly and the warmth of our love. He proposed in the winter too, so it’s only fitting. On any given night, you’ll find Nick and I curled up on the couch watching Netflix or grabbing a drink at the outdoor beer garden. Any chance we get to explore outside we take, and bonus points if Marvin can join us anywhere we go!
Albeit more common, a fancy styled shoot with a suit and a dress was not our cup of tea. We hardly ever get dressed up, so we knew that wasn’t right for our engagement photos. We’ll save that for the wedding day.
So after some thought, we took all of these tid bits our relationship and decided to style them into the photo shoot. Meaning we decided on an outdoors location with casual outfits–and of course Marvin was included.
