1. Sazerac from The Sazerac Bar

From being created in a Creole apothecary in 1838 to becoming the official cocktail of New Orleans, this local drink has plenty of history. The Sazerac is handcrafted using a sugar cube, Sazerac Rye Whiskey, Herbsaint, Peychaud’s Bitters, and a lemon peel.
2. Pimm’s Cup from Napoleon House

This refreshing summer cocktail is made with Pimm’s #1, lemonade, 7up, and a cucumber garnish. Beat New Orleans heat by sipping on this.
3. Frozen Irish Coffee from Erin Rose

Need a mid-day pick me up? Get your caffeine fix with a frozen Irish coffee. From 10am – 2pm, it’s only $3.50–cheaper than Starbucks! 😉
4. The Grasshopper from Tujague’s

Dating back to 1918, this delicious drink is concocted from crème de cacao, crème de menthe, brandy, and heavy whipping cream. If you like Thin Mints, then this is the drink for you!
5. Hand Grenade from Tropical Isle
Address: 721 Bourbon St, New Orleans, LA 70116
Not the classiest drink but definitely a must if you’re looking for the full tourist experience… 🤣 Head to Bourbon for an ultra-touristy souvenir cup and concoction of frozen gin, rum, vodka, melon liqueur, and Lord knows what else!
6. Hurricane from Pat O’ Brien’s

Sip slowly on this boozy, fruity Hurricane while listening to pianists duel at the famous Pat O’s Piano Bar. The drink is made from rum, fruit juices, simple syrup, and grenadine. Just one Hurricane equals four regular drinks!
7. Absinthe from Pirates Alley Cafe
Address: 622 Pirate Alley, New Orleans, LA 70116
Take a seat inside one of the most historic bars in the U.S and the former Spanish Colonial Prison of 1769. Here, you’ll explore your creativity under the mystical elixir known as the “Green Fairy”–absinthe. Watch your drink being prepped as water drips onto a sugar cube and flows into your absinthe.
8. Bloody Mary from Lafitte’s Blacksmith Shop Bar
Address: 941 Bourbon St, New Orleans, LA 70116
New Orleans is full of historical bars, and this one’s no different! Try a Bloody Mary at one of the oldest bars in New Orleans that’s been serving since the 1700s. This recipe includes vodka, a house-made spicy tomato mix, and spicy green beans and citrus to garnish.
