Part of my being is staying as productive as possible each and everyday. This is totally a blessing and a curse! I’m hoping you’re a lot more chill than me (lol), and you’re only reading this because you’re looking for little ways to be more productive each day. If this sounds like you, then I’ve got the best 5 tips for you!

1. Be Dedicated to Getting Sh*t Done
First of all, this isn’t magic. You have to actually want to be productive and create opportunities for yourself to be more productive.
Create goals to make sure you know exactly what you’re working towards. Then, you can move on to the next tip.
Goal Ideas:
- Improve my blog presence
- Get bikini-body ready for summer
- Put more energy into learning
- Make sure my dog gets enough attention
2. Set Realistic Expectations
Goal Setting 101: Once you know your goal(s), you need to set realistic expectations.
Your goal may or may not have an end date or final achievement to celebrate. I know mine don’t. But you can still set realistic expectations of how you will work towards your goal daily.
Pro Tip: If there is no end to your goal, make sure to celebrate small wins along the way.
Realistic Expectation Examples:
- Check progress weekly
- Keep Saturdays free of obligations
- Dedicate one hour daily to being more productive
3. Create a List of Tasks
Trying to remember what you need to get done is a thing of the past. With your goal in mind, create a list of every task you could possibly do to be more productive towards that goal. Literally dump every idea on paper and tidy it up after.
While tidying up, make each task actionable and specific.
You would never tackle a task that said “Makeover the House.” But you’re more likely to tackle “paint the bedrooms” or “plant flowers in the garden.”
List out these final tasks as well as their frequency (if applicable), and then move on to tip 4.
Example: Improve My Blog Presence
- Schedule social media posts weekly
- Shoot 2 outfits weekly
- Brainstorm blog post ideas monthly
- Attend 1 networking event monthly
4. Create a Routine
Creating routine is very important for accountability, and it’s less strict than it sounds. Personally, I wrote down my weekly routine in my phone’s notes, and I check the completed tasks throughout the week.
I swear it keeps me on track despite all the craziness going on in my life.
For example, my two goals are to maintain a healthy lifestyle and grow my blog. My weekly routine includes tasks such as:
- Write a blog post
- Meal prep
- Do my nails
- Create my weekly newsletter
- Workout: Cycle / arms & abs
- Workout: Legs
Each task goes on a specific day of the week, although I move them around as needed. I keep my routine extremely specific so that I can hold myself accountable every day. I promise seeing your routine makes being productive that much easier.
If you’ve made it this far, then you’re already kicking butt!! Head to tip 5 for a little relief.
5. Give Yourself a Break
Last but certainly not least, GIVE YOURSELF A BREAK.
What’s so beautiful about listing out your routine is that it’s obvious if you skipped something. I often skip working out one day of the week, but I honestly built in an extra workout day knowing that I would do that. #lazyYETproductive
Know that by consciously making an effort to be more productive daily, you’re already winning. You deserve to give yourself a break as needed. And trust me, you’ll need it. 😂
Now Go Be Productive Daily!
I hope I inspired you to make a daily routine list in your phone. I really do swear by it! If you need help setting up goals, tasks, or your routine feel free to contact me here or on Instagram DMs.
