Creating a healthy daily routine to take care of your body will let you feel your best every day. To give you an idea of how to create your own routine, I am sharing mine with you. That said, all bodies are different. You may want to modify your routine to be more realistic for yourself.

My Daily Workout Routine
My biggest piece of advice is to find a workout that is practical to do 5-6 times a week. Identify your pain points with working out and create a routine that will alleviate them. This should limit the amount of excuses you make.
For me, this means working out in the comfort of my home. I save so much time (and money) this way, which is usually my biggest complaint about working out.
I have different workouts that I alternate through, and I track my progress on the FitOn app.
Equipment for Working Out at Home
- Yoga mat
- Two 5-pound dumbbells
- 10-pound ring weight (GAME CHANGER)
- 2-pound ankle weights
- Spin bike
- BOSU ball
Videos for Working Out at Home
In addition to videos on the FitOn app, I often rotate through the following workouts:
- Legs + Booty:
- Arms:
- Abs:
- Yoga: Boho Beautiful “Morning Yoga Workout | Strength & Stretch”
- BOSU Ball:
- Spin: Gabriella Guevara’s Class on the Playbook App
I know some people are skeptical about being motivated at home, but I was the same way until I found my go-to workout videos. Now I can’t see myself going back to a gym! Give yourself enough time to learn what workout style you enjoy.
My Daily Eating Routine
After creating your workout routine, you should turn to your diet to make the changes that matter most. I find that repeating the same healthy meal once a day has helped me in more ways than one.
First, this meal (oatmeal for me) helps me start my day right without having to think about what I want for breakfast. If I have something else for breakfast, I’ll eat oatmeal for lunch. Believe it or not, not having to worry about one meal each day saves me energy.
Second, oatmeal is extremely beneficial to eat daily, so I reap its benefits while still watching my calorie intake. Here’s my oatmeal recipe:
- 1/2 cup of water, boiled before adding oats and banana
- 1/4 cup of rolled oats
- 1/2 a banana
- As much cinnamon as you desire after the oatmeal is cooked!
I also make sure to drink green tea once a day, along with at least 2L of water. I swear that green tea keeps me slim with a boosted metabolism! Each time I’ve reached my peak fitness in my life, I was drinking green tea daily and avoiding coffee daily during that period.
As far as drinking water goes, no one said it was easy! It’s hard if you’re always bustling about your day, but the results make the extra effort worth it.

What I Avoid Daily
There are some lifestyle changes I decided to make that have improved the way I feel SIGNIFICANTLY. I won’t go into detail for each one, but the most important one for me is moving to a plant-based diet.
I’ve almost completely taken meat out of my diet, and the impact it’s made on my body is seriously life-changing. When I say I FEEL better, I mean it. Try a plant-based meal once a week to get started and find recipes you like!
Here’s a list of some changes I made to feel better overall:
- Avoiding meats as a main dish.
- Appreciating whole foods that give my body nutrients.
- Keeping unhealthy foods out of the house.
- Avoiding coffee as anything but a treat.
- Limiting my alcohol intake.
- Starting my days early in the morning.
- Giving myself a break when needed mentally.
My #1 Tip to Take Care of Your Body
DO NOT BE TOO HARD ON YOURSELF.
You will not be perfect, and changing your lifestyle doesn’t happen overnight. You’ll skip a workout, you’ll forget to drink water, and you’ll want to eat fried chicken. It’s really okay, and you don’t need to be hard on yourself when it happens!
By making the choice to change your lifestyle, you’ve already come so far. Each day you try, you better yourself. You can slip up without setting yourself back because your body is already happier, healthier, and more resilient than ever before.
Eventually, you will become stronger and feel better in ways you never imagined. This new lifestyle will become almost addictive because you feel so good each day! I really wish you the best in your own fitness journey, and I’m always here for support.
Let’s feel good, babes!
